Shaelene is registered Developmental Educator, and long-time professional in the disability sector. with decades of experience. She holds degrees in Disability Studies (Masters, 2015); Early Childhood Intervention (Masters 2003); Alternative & Augmentative Communication (Honours, 2003); and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology (1993.) She has worked as the Principal of a specialist school for Children & Young Adults with Severe Disability, and more recently an Advocate, Co-ordinator of Supports, Trainer, University Tutor and Disability Liaison Officer.
A Developmental Educator (DE ) is an allied health practitioner trained in disability and development across a person's lifespan.
DEs use a Rights-Based approach, and prioritise their client's goals, autonomy and ongoing development.
As a DE Shaelene works in close partnership with her clients. their families and support network.
Shaelene is extensively trained and experienced in collaborating with other Allied Health Professionals, Education Services and NDIS providers.

Shaelene's expertise and experience are hard to match, and her approach is both innovative and evidence based.
She has always had a singular dedication to provide the best possible outcomes for her clients, trainees and students.
